The Ville Voice website reports that the Cincinnati version of Velocity, CiN Weekly, is being rebranded as MetroMix and all of the staff was fired. The ‘new’ print publication will be composed of copy from Gannett’s various corporate sites nationwide, plus whatever’s on the web version of MetroMix. Given that Cincy is a bigger city [...] The Louisville Youth Orchestra will hold auditions for musicians through age twenty-one who play any orchestral instrument for its 51st season in late August and early September, 2009. Interested musicians may log on at www.lyo.org to download an audition application and audition requirements. The Louisville Orchestra was awarded $50,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts as part of the Arts Stimulus grant money. The money will go to fund the Summer Classics Series. |
