Over the last several months, there has been considerable discussion in the music scene about the “Battle of the Bands” shows put on at Headliners by a company calling itself, variously, Jam Solid or Gorilla Productions. The promotion involves getting bands to sell tickets, with the ‘headlining’ band being the one that sells the most tickets, with the announced prizes apparently not actually what they seem and/or not awarded, although this matter has not been clearly investigated. The firm(s) are located in Cleveland or a suburb of Cleveland and are not particularly inclined to return phone calls. A more complete discussion of this is available at the 502Scene board.
