It’s dueling weekly pubs on music time - LEO’s Music issue is out and Velocity has a sampler for the cover. LEO gets the call, though, as they have a cover story on none other than Travis Meeks, a feature certain to cause some disturbances in the ether. Seems Meeks’ has Asperger’s Syndrome. It’s in-n-n-n-terresting reading.

Velocity On the Louisville Music Scene

Really peculiar, although I didn’t check their choices against Velocity’s ad list. Everybody has their preferences…but it’s really just impossible to get it all into one story, even a long one.

LO Chase Pops Series Announced

  • Arlo Guthrie, November 1
  • Air Supply, January 1
  • Jack Jones, February 14
  • The Pointer Sisters, March 14.
  • Ticket prices have not yet been posted at the Louisville Palace’s website.

    Powerman 5000 Tour To Stop in Louisville

    L.A.’s Powerman 5000 2008-2009 tour includes a stop at Headliners on February 9, 2009, for those of you making long-range plans. The metal/punk-electronica band was last in town in March 2007, so fans have had to wait a while.
