Cory Greenwell at Backseat Sandbar has a review of Saturday’s Over the Rhine show at the Brown Theatre. He also has a bunch of photos, mostly of singer Karin Bergquist. Can’t argue with that Louisville hip-hop artist Static, born Stephen Garrett, died yesterday, possibly of a brain aneurism. His age was reproted variously at 31, 32 or 33. A member of the R&B group Playa, he was known for his songwriting. Garrett had worked with Aaliyah, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z and Ginuwine, among others. WHAS TV has more.
