Louisville metal band Descention has come to an end, according to a post on the 502 Scene Board. Those gluttons for musical punishment via excess at Backseat Sandbar have a review of the Wax Fang/Ultra Pulverize show at Headliners, with photos. Clearly, UltraPulverize is into dress-up. Wheee. The Headliners show on Derby Eve looks to be, um, crowded on stage, with a 30-piece punk marching band, Mucca Paza plus Wax Fang and Parlour. How do the numbers add up? Tickets are $12. I suspect that there are times when J. L. Puckett wishes he were anything but a music writer for the Courier-Journal and I’ll wager that the Jonas Brothers show on Sunday night was one of those times.
