The continuing decline in CD sales and subsequent drop in floorspace devoted to CDs remains in the news, with Wall Street analyst Richard Greenfield again pointing to year-over-year declines of 25% or more. DigitalMusicNews.com has the rather bleak picture.

A small item showed up on digitalmusicnews.com this a.m.:”Jupitermedia has now purchased Flying Hands Media…” Flying Hands Media is a royalty-free music seller established in Louisville by Ray Yates and Brian Curella. Yates is a keyboard player with a strong interest in the digital world; he published dozens of CDs of royalty-free background and production music. He moved to Florida from Louisville two years ago.
