LEO’s Music Issue
All About Innovation
The annual LEO Music Issue is out on the streets. Your honorable editor, once more, was not invited to contribute, although LMN’s Jazz columnist has a piece about Boogie Morton. There are five primary articles, each of which contains subarticles about somebody in the business, including a piece by Catherine Irwin on her band Freakwater; Dave Johnson of The Glasspack scribbles a few words about the South End; Mat Herron confesses to having gone to Tweligans for a punk show; the ubiquitous Leigh Ann Yost gets bio’ed and Dominic Cipolla writes about his two bands, Dead Child and Phantom Family Halo.
Adam Day has a long feature on VHS or Beta. THere’s a bunch more, of course. Trying to cover the Louisville music scene in all its diversity in a single issue is bonkers, but I can’t blame editor Cary Stemle for trying. Pick up a copy and read it all; you’ll learn something about the Louisville music scene.
I can’t resist pointing out, however, that every issue of Louisville Music News is a Music issue
