LMN staff writer Tim Roberts has a bit of commentary on the recent Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductees – why did the Dave Clark Five not get in even though they got more votes that Grandmaster Flash?
Meanwhile, in yesterday’s C-J, Jeffrey Lee Puckett banged out a review of the Wynton Marsalis concert and concocted his usual Tuesday list of new releases. Finally, Andrew Adler reviewed Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio’s concert Sunday at U of L.
In this week’s Velocity, Andrea Davidson gets the feature story in what the free Gannett publication continues to refer to as a “Local” music section. I guess when you are one of a chain of similar ‘alternative’ papers, “Local Music” is as close to spelling “Louisville Music” as you can get without choking. Oh, well.
Finally, Joseph Lord previews the Evanescence show on Tuesday, via phoner with Amy Lee.
